Farmhouse Fayre has now been trading for over twenty-five years, serving the local community. With the shop based in the heart of Newport and the wholesale branch of the business operating out of the farm at Atherfield. The Morris family have been farming for generations and took on Farmhouse Fayre ten years ago as a good place to sell their homegrown produce.

🤩 Good morning to you all 🤩
💚 Our eco friendly range is looking full and inviting as we have had a good top up! We have stocked it all up again with the loofco Kitchen scrubbers, scrappers and bottle brushes! We even have a range of eco friendly and vegan washing up liquid which is proving very popular!
💚 Our Vegan range is forever growing in our shop with: Soups, Jellies, Gravy, Custard powder, Cheeses, Butter, Cakes, Nut roasts, Stock Cubes, Rice, Bouillon, Yeast flakes and Worcester sauce and much more!

🥔 Just look at these beautiful golden nuggets hitting our shop again today!
💚 Freshly dug new potatoes from our farm are available in our shop and my goodness they taste good!
🧑🏻‍🌾 We had a customer in yesterday say the texture and taste was like no other!

🤩 Wahey it’s Wednesday 🤩
🌈 Our shop is just bursting with colour. The team have been busy filling the shelves with all the lovely fresh produce!
🤩 As soon as you walk in the door you can smell all the soft fruit. One lady said wouldn’t it be nice if you could bottle the scent for a perfume!
🍒 IOW cherries are still holding on but this will probably be the last lot!
💚 Greengages are now in!
🫘 Our home grown runner beans are in today!
🥔 Freshly dug home grown new potatoes are ready to greet you as you walk in the door!

🤩 Another weekend has come upon us and we are now welcoming August!
🤩We have some delicious produce in our shop and some are saying they are spoilt for choice as they walk through the door!

🧑🏻‍🌾 One man and his potatoes 🧑🏻‍🌾
🥔 We are very excited to share with you all that last night we dug the first of our home grown new potatoes and they will be in our shop today!
🧑🏻‍🌾 Philip has been out in the fields looking after the plants for a few months now and finally after a lot of loving care they were ready to dig. What a sight they were as he dug through the soil. They looked like tiny golden nuggets! A real treat for the eyes and an even tastier treat on your plates!
💦 These crops need plenty of sunlight but as you would know they also need a lot of water. We are very fortunate to have our own rainmaker!
🚜 In the early 90s we dug a large reservoir which is filled from the water which drains the fields in the winter. Then we pump the water back onto the land in the summer when needed! As you can see in a couple of our photos the rainmaker is watering our potatoes and the pump is pumping the reservoir!

☀️ Good morning to you all ☀️
🌱 We have had a busy couple of weeks planting out all of the seeds we planted by hand!
💚 Our seedlings were big enough to be planted out and what a hive of activity there was in the field!
🚜 The ground was so dry so we had to work it twice to allow the plants to go in!
🌱 Needless to say it was very dusty sitting on the planter feeding the plants in but with the great team we had around us we had such a great time!
🧑🏻‍🌾 We had Alfie in the tractor, Will in the forklift and planting, Dougie and Lucy planting, Grandad working the ground and the big boss making it all work and fall into place!
🌱 Our Cauliflower, Savoy cabbage, Broccoli and Purple sprouting will be ready to harvest around the end of September and will be heading straight to our shop!
