15 Peaks of summer challenge completed!
Thank you all so much for getting behind us and being so supportive and enthusiastic and encouraging about our hikes. We finished our 15 today with a biggie.
Ben Nevis!
It was long and pretty challenging with lots of endless stony steps up and down!
We met a lot of people along the way and had what felt like all seasons in one day! And a zillion midgies for the first couple of hours which certainly helped us move a bit faster!
If you would like to help The Wave Project Scotland meet our group target of £15000 there is still time to donate and will be much appreciated by our gang in Dunbar 🙂

Huge big muckle hike up huge big muckle hills today!
So as many of you know Ryan and I are involved in the The Wave Project Scotland 15 peaks of summer challenge and today we thought to get closer to our total of 15 peaks we would “bag” 4 Munros in one go!
We set off from Glen Shee this morning whizzing down a road on our bikes to then clamber about for the next 6 hours. Pleased to say we succeeded and completed the Glas Maol Munros circuit, Cairnwell Pass. With better than expected weather and fewer midgies. (Though Ryan was taking no chances!)
Happy to be home now and looking forward to a productive week, then if the weather is kind we are going to head to Ben Nevis next weekend to complete peak 15!

The Wave Project Scotland 15 peaks of summer

We hope you have all had a super weekend. It was so great to see North Berwick full of fun, vibrant & lively as Fringe by the Sea gets into full flow.
Ryan and I are currently mid way through our fundraising challenge for The Wave Project Scotland doing our 15 peaks of summer.
Unfortunately today the weather forgot that it was summer but we still had a great time. We got to the summit of Ben Vorlich and even time for a spot of fishing in Loch Earn on the dissent!
Thanks so much to all our lovely friends, customers and supporters of this fundraiser we really appreciate your support and the fact that it’s directly supporting local youngsters and their families is extra meaningful and give us the motivation to push on up the hill!

Just to let you know that the shop will be closed on Monday 3rd August.
Some of the staff might be Fringe by the Sea
Some of the staff might be having a long lie!
And Ryan & I will be schlepping up Ben Vorlich all in aid of The Wave Project Scotland and our 15 Peaks of Summer Challenge.

So yesterday we actually had some lovely news and I am excited to share with you that our haggis won a great taste 2 star award! Our chimmi churroi beef bomb won a 1 star and Ness & Stefan’s recipe for Merguez sausages also a 1 star!
And another North Berwick Business Brose Oat Drink (which is our go to non dairy alternative) only went and got 3 Stars!
Blooming delighted to be nationally recognised.
Despite all the difficulties that comes with being a small independent business in North Berwick, it’s moments like this and the support of our local community & customers that make it all worthwhile.
