After a great deal of thought and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to close Clifford's Butchers.
This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, and it is certainly not one I have taken lightly. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, the business is no longer financially viable for me to continue. After exploring every option available, I have reached the point where I need to prioritise my own happiness, wellbeing, and future.
I would like to sincerely thank every customer who has supported Clifford's Butchers.
I would also like to thank the staff who have been part of the business since we opened.
I would also like to thank Jordan Beldam. Jordan first helped with the food side of the business and later stepped in to help with the shop whenever I wasn't available. His support, friendship, and willingness to help wherever needed have meant a great deal to me.
I would also like to apologise to anyone who may be disappointed by this decision.
What makes this especially difficult is that Clifford's Butchers was named after my Pap, a well-known butcher in Northampton. Carrying his name above the door made me incredibly proud, and the business meant far more to me than simply making a living. It was about honouring his legacy and continuing a family tradition.
While this chapter is coming to an end, I will always be grateful to everyone who supported Clifford's Butchers The kindness, support, and friendships I have found through the business are something I will never forget.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
