🐝🐝 HARTWELL HIVES HONEY 🐝🐝

We are pleased to resannounce the return of our ever popular local honey today this week. The honey is sourced from bees less than 5 miles from the shop, the honey is not harshly filtered or heated to keep all of the natural goodness intact.

This is the very first batch from the bees this year and as ault is produced from the first flowers of spring. This honey is made predominantly from the nectar of oil seed r**e along with tree blossoms, spring bulbs and other early flowing plants . I've been told that as there wasn't as much oil seed r**e planted this year, the honey will have a slightly darker colour to it when set.
Set honey is perfect for spreading on toast or enjoying in porridge. We are told by many, this honey helps with hay-fever for anyone who suffers particularly when the fields turn yellow with the oil seed r**e flower.

Crops later in the year will naturally provide the golden clear honey that will set over the course of months rather than weeks. Clear honey is typically guaranteed in supermarkets through strong heating processes.

Later in the year we will also be stocking fresh cut comb honey, sliced straight from the edible building blocks of the beehive, ready to eat.

Extra Large 1lb (454g) jars are available to pick up from the shop from today. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Good morning everyone,
The fresh sourdough bread has just arrived and ready for sale.
Just to let you know, Wednesday will be the last day for this week only we will have a delivery and there won't be any next week as the kids are off school and our baker is on holiday. I am ordering extra on Wednesday so if you want to buy one and freeze it you can.🙂👍see you soon
