Thank you all for your kind thoughts and memories at this difficult time.❤️

It is with the greatest sorrow that we announce the death of the founder of Gorse Farm Shop, Anne Vernon at the age of 90.

Anne founded the shop in the early 70's, selling eggs from the back door of the farm. In later years, home-grown potatoes and Gorse Farm honey were also added to the sales list before more recent times when it became the farm shop/butchery that we know today.
Anne was also the backbone of the farm, looking after her husband, Farmer Dave, her children, grand-children and great-grand children, whilst also being an essential part of the milking team and caring for the baby calves.

She will be very sadly missed by all of us.

Its Springtime on the farm and new life is everywhere.
The farmers have been on standby morning, noon and night to deliver these beauties safely and our lovely mummy cows and sheep have certainly appreciated that extra level of care.
Our flock of sheep have now finished lambing and are out in the nursery pastures enjoying fresh new grass whilst our Angus and Simmental cattle herds are mid way through their calving period and will be outside shortly.
