This is more than just a farm tour, it’s a hands on experience with both indoor and outdoor activities, perfect for cooler days. Warm drinks and delicious biscuits are included to keep everyone cosy! ☕🍪

Come explore life on the farm and get answers to all those curious questions:
🐑 Why do we shear sheep?
🌾 What’s the difference between hay, straw, and silage?
🐷 Why do pigs love mud so much?
🍏 How do we know how old a sheep is? (Let’s check its teeth!)
🎉 And... why are goats so silly? We’re still trying to work that one out!

We have a FREE Farm Educational Visit over the next few weeks on Mondays (November) and Fridays from 10-12 or 2-4 pm, we’d love for you to join us!

All those questions answered!

Why do you have to shear sheep?

What do the animals sleep on?

How old is that sheep? Let’s look in its mouth and count its teeth!

Why don’t all sheep look the same?

Why do pigs love mud?

What’s in the big plastic bales?

What’s the difference between hay and silage or hay and straw?

Why are the goats so silly? We don’t know !

- Pick some apples from the Orchard and take some home with you for a lovely warming crumble or pie🥧

We’re excited to welcome Home Education groups to Lovaton Farm for a FREE educational farm visit! 🎉

We have sessions available 10-12pm or 2-4pm every Thursday and Friday between the 25th September to 14th November (excluding half term)

👀 Ever wondered why pigs have spots?
🐓 How many eggs a chicken lays a week?
🌱 Why we rotate our fields?
💩 What happens to all that muck?

🌿 Learn about:

* Animal care & feeding
* Where food really comes from
* Sustainable farming
* Seasonal changes on the farm
* The role of farms in the environment
* Life cycles and habitats

Perfect for small groups of home-ed children aged 4–16.

I was stopped by several people at Chagford Show yesterday, saying how they miss our meat.
