Is it just us, or are shades of red popping up everywhere at the moment?

The fruit shelves are looking particularly colourful this week, with deep red English cherries, bright Dutch & English strawberries, juicy raspberries, rosy nectarines, peaches, apricots and our new red pears all competing for attention.

Even the watermelon is showing off with its vibrant red centre.

It's one of those times of year when nature does all the hard work. The colours are brighter, the flavours are sweeter and the fruit bowls look better than ever.

Pop into the deli and see what's arrived. We think the fruit section is looking pretty spectacular right now.

Rain might have put the barbecue on hold, but it's the perfect excuse for a cosy Italian night in.

Our Italian section is packed with everything you need for an easy weekend supper.

Choose from authentic pasta sauces, bronze-drawn slow-dried pasta, risottos, pizza bases and all the cupboard essentials to bring a taste of Italy to your table.

We've also just added some new arrivals, including:

• Tomato & Olive Pasta Sauce
• Creamy Smoked Salmon Pasta Sauce
• Pumpkin Risotto

The risottos are ready in 16 minutes, the sauces do all the hard work for you, and the pasta is the kind that holds onto every bit of flavour.

Fresh English produce has arrived in the deli.

We have strawberries, raspberries, cherries and peas all from British farms.

We've also got Lincolnshire new potatoes which are perfect simply boiled with a k**b of butter and a handful of fresh herbs.

And if you're treating yourself while you're here, our cream tea deal is still available. A fresh scone with mini jam and clotted cream, ready to enjoy with a coffee.

It's shaping up to be a lovely Saturday in Otley.

Our scone, jam and clotted cream special is back today if you fancy a little weekend treat in the sunshine.

We've got fresh English peas and English strawberries in, along with baby watermelons at £2.50 each or you can buy a fresh slice for £1.

Whether you're stocking up for the weekend or just popping in for a few bits for your barbecue or picnic there's plenty of fresh produce waiting for you.

New Wild & Fruitful coulis sauces have landed in the deli in strawberry, raspberry and mango flavours. Drizzle them over a bowl of our Brymor ice cream, add fresh strawberries, cherries or berries from the deli and suddenly dessert feels a bit special with very little effort.

Our freezer at the back of the deli has been topped up with 1L tubs of Brymor ice cream for you to take home in all sorts of flavours like Madagascan Vanilla, Raspberry Ripple Rush, Limoncello, Amarena Black Cherry, Sticky Stem Ginger and more!

We’ve also added new cones to the shelves if you want to scoop your own cones at home including waffle cones, Barnyard Buddies cones for the kids and gluten free cones too.

And if you are out enjoying the sunshine this weekend, don’t forget we serve scoops in store in cones and cups for sunny strolls around Otley.

Bank Holiday hours update for the deli.

We are open as usual on Saturday from 6am - 4pm and Sunday 8am - 3pm so plenty of time to get stocked up for the weekend.

We will be closed on Monday 25th May for the bank holiday.

Back open Tuesday 26th May from 6am to 4.30pm.

Pop in over the weekend and get everything you need for your bank holiday barbecue. The weather is looking to be glorious.

A few new things have landed in the deli this week and we’re very excited about them.

We’ve expanded our gluten free range with some really lovely bits including pistachio cannoli, protein lentil crispbread and gluten free waffle cones for ice cream.

This means you can now get gluten free ice cream cones in the deli too as most of the Brymor ice creams we serve are also gluten free.

We’ve also brought in these beautiful cordials from Mr Fitzpatrick’s in some proper summer flavours:
Raspberry & lavender
Lemon, cucumber & mint
Orange & guava
Root beer
Sour cherry & red grape with hibiscus

Perfect as a mixer with cocktails or sparkling water, plenty of ice to enjoy in the sunshine on a warm day.

We’ve had a lovely delivery from Wild & Fruitful filled with small batch jams, marmalades and honeys.

Think rich blackcurrant jam, blackberry & apple, perfect plum, strawberry jam, pink grapefruit gin & rhubarb marmalade, English lakes honey, wildflower honey and even hot honey infused with scotch bonnet chilli.

Perfect for toast, cheeseboards, breakfast tables or giving as little foodie gifts.

We’re always trying to bring in things that are a little different alongside the everyday favourites, so keep an eye out because there are lots of new arrivals coming through at the moment.

The deli is looking very colourful at the moment and the season is properly starting to shift.

Sweet corn, fresh peas, Yorkshire asparagus, juicy cherries, tender broccoli and all the fresh fruit that makes this time of year feel like summer is finally on its way even though it is raining outside.

This is the kind of produce that doesn’t need much doing to it. Buttered corn on the cob, peas straight from the pod, asparagus roasted with a little olive oil and sea salt and big bowls of fruit on the kitchen counter ready for snacking.

Simple food. Fresh ingredients. Proper flavour.

Pop in and see what’s arrived this week because the shelves are changing by the day at the moment.
