This site has been the home to Fishmarket since 2008. We’ve loved being here but it time to say goodbye! But, don’t worry we’ve only moved just around the corner and will be under the same roof as Meatmaster. On Tuesday 21st your’ll be able to get all your fruit/veg, fish & meat in the same place! We can’t wait to show your new shop!

We are open this weekend as normal. That said we have started to move fridges to our new home so the look and feel of fishmarket won’t be the same as usual. Please accept our apologies for this.

Our new home is looking amazing and will be opening on Tuesday 21st April.

Don’t worry we are not moving very far….on 75 metres across the car park! Next to meatmaster!!

Did you know you can actually shave with razor clams? Razor shells or razor clams are very recognisable, with their long, narrow clam shells. They are a burrowing species and live buried in the sand around the low tide mark and on the seabed out to around 60m deep. They dig themselves into the sand using their strong muscular "foot". Razor clams filter feed on plankton and detritus and quite often, the 2 small siphons are all that is visible. After storms, huge numbers of razor clam shells often wash up on beaches. In Scotland, they are called spoots - named after the jet of water they shoot out when burrowing at low tide

Easter Sunday 5th April – CLOSED
Easter Monday 6th April – CLOSED
Tuesday 7th April – Open as normal 7am – 5pm

FISH 4 LUNCH will be open as Normal on Good Friday 3rd April (Closed Sat 4th April)
The Fish Market and Fish 4 Lunch are both re-locating to Meatmaster. Fish 4 Lunch will re-open in the summer in the new location.
