STREET FOOD SUPPERCLUB MARCH 25 - CRANSTON PICKLES X TAP SOCIAL ✌🏼

We have our next street food supperclub coming up soon! And we are quite behind on sharing all our supperclubs we did last year - and all the beautiful photography from !!

This was the second in our street food supperclubs - from our summer supperclub series! AUTUMN EDITION. Which has then continued on a monthly basis since 🥹

Produce locally from Seoul Plaza (RIP💔) + - was also thrilled to have some of the produce from my very own garden! 🥹

We started with a kedgeree scotch egg, then Okonomiyaki for main + this stunner of a pudding to finish! So I thought I would make it the pickled star of the show for this post.

FIG LEAF PANNA COTTA. Fig leaf milk jam. Pickled blackberry. Sea salt. I discovered fig leaves last summer and found a lovely local tree whose owners were happy for me to pick as many as I needed. What an amazing ingredient - safe to say I got a little obsessed. And milk jam?? Also obsessed.

There are still tickets left for our March street food supperclub - go go pickle go!

£27 for 3 courses of creative street food style dishes using locally sourced + seasonal produce. Treat yourself to a feast to celebrate the teasing of Spring we have been having lately! Would love to see your pickliscious faces there 💛💛

BIG NEWS! CRANSTON PICKLES - PICKLE WORKSHOPS!

We have been asked for quite some time if we teach pickle workshops - and it is finally happening!!

We are throwing our first pickle workshop this month ON THURSDAY 20 FEB !! They will be at in the covered market and run on a monthly basis - the third Thursday of each month! A super casual, fun + informative 2 hours class where I will teach you how to pickle with vinegar! 7 - 9 PM ✌🏼

Tickets include a drink from Tap’s bar, learning how to make three types of vinegar based pickles, recipes to take home and a little spread at the end of the class to enjoy together! All produce will be locally sourced from in the covered market - and will reflect the seasons, in our usual Cranston Pickles style!

I am super excited for this new venture (and a little nervous of course!) but it’s going to be a fun couple of hours learning all things pickles!

Go to our pickle shop for more information + to grab your tickets - link in bio ✌🏼

Hope to see you all there and assist you in getting your pickle on 🤗

Fiona 💛

Cranston Pickles is a small scale, sustainable, homemade Pickle Factory set up by Fiona, a local lass based in Oxford. Her love of pickles came from her Grandparents Rowland and Sylvia, where every Christmas (and Christmas alone even due to popular demand), a jar of pickled eggs would grace the table. Since then, her love for Japan and subsequent trips have reinforced // added to her love for pickles and it has eventually grown into Cranston Pickles.

S U S T A I N A B I L I T Y // All pickle ingredients involved are fresh and locally sourced, bringing back relationships with the earth and people around us. The eggs used for all our pickled eggs come from Mayfield farm in Oxfordshire where they have the lowest hen count possible making them very happy free range hens.

There is no single use plastic used throughout the business, and the packaging that is necessary is recycable // resuable. The jars will have a full cycle pickle life where they can be refilled or reused. On top of this, nothing is wasted - preserving is an excellent way to prevent food waste, whether it’s pickling fresh vegetables to last through the winter or using the pickle juice for a good old fashioned pickle back!

There will be seasonal specials alongside staple favourites, again bringing back traditions of having what is available, in season and above all, L O C A L.
