A proper delicatessen is a wonderful thing.

It’s the place where you’ll find the ingredients you’ve seen chefs using on television and wondered where on earth they buy them. The tiny producers. The artisan makers. The olive oils from exceptional growers. The preserves, charcuterie, chocolates and cheeses that don’t make it onto supermarket shelves.

At Provender Brown, we spend our days hunting down those special products and filling our shelves with the things food lovers get genuinely excited about.

Our cheese cabinet remains at the heart of it all. Home to one of Scotland’s most extensive deli cheese selections, with cheeses arriving from Scotland, across the UK and beyond. Curious about something? Just ask. We always have cheeses available to taste at the counter and we absolutely love talking about them.

Whether you’re planning a dinner party, building the perfect cheeseboard, searching for a hard-to-find ingredient or simply treating yourself to some handmade chocolate, we’re here to help.

What a day on George Street! 🍓🚗

Our strawberries & cream stall outside Provender Brown for the Perth Vintage Car Display was absolutely fantastic. The vintage army vehicles right at our door were brilliant, and so were the wonderful enthusiasts proudly displaying them.

We had countless families, familiar customers and new friends stopping by for strawberries, cream and a chat. The city centre was alive with laughter and enjoyment, and it was just brilliant to see.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to join us, and to Michael and the events team at Perth & Kinross Council for all their hard work bringing it together. Our deli life goes way beyond extras like events so a massive thank you to Martine and Cara for yesterday too.

Provender Brown is open as usual Monday to Saturday, 9am–5pm.

Spring has officially landed in the deli… and it tastes like this 🌱

We have beautiful fresh asparagus from Denhead Farm in store now, but as always, the season is short and it really is a “now or wait another year” kind of thing.

Pair it with the rich, buttery Hollandaise from DINE with Aitkens & Pots and you have something pretty special on your plate in minutes.

Softly steamed, piled onto a plate, maybe with a perfectly poached egg or alongside your favourite cut of meat… it is proper spring eating at its best.

Pop in and pick some up while it is at its peak, it won’t be around for long.

Expect clean, fresh botanicals and incredibly well-balanced spirits across the range, from their classic gins to the ever so tempting Ripple Toffee Vodka and the standout Dam Raiders Gin.
