We're hitting the road! Our market garden magic is coming directly into your neighbourhood. We're looking for 4 locations across Peterborough and PE postcodes to host our first block of free mobile workshops.

All ages and abilities are welcome to get hands-on and learn something new!

🗓️ How It Works (Saturdays, July 4th – Sept | 11am–1pm)
We will visit our 4 chosen locations to deliver 3 unique weekly sessions at each site.

🌻 Session 1: Taster Drop in, get your hands muddy, and take your natural creation home:
🌱 Potting & Planting.
🐦 Pinecone Birdfeeders.
🌼 Wildflower Seedballs.
🪱 Build Your Own Wormery.

🍄 Sessions 2 & 3: You Decide!
You choose what we do next! We'll bring the tools and expertise for choices like:
• Mushroom Growing: Cultivate your own fungi at home.
• Herbal Blends: Make refreshing drinks using garden herbs.
• Mindful Crafts: Botanical printing, eco candles, soaps, or wreaths.
• Harvesting & Cooking: Simple, healthy recipes using seasonal produce.

Here's zero-budget, low-waste, space-saving way to start seeds:

1️⃣ Spread out 2–3 sheets of newspaper. This becomes a biodegradable base that will eventually break down in the soil 🌍

2️⃣Layer on moist, fine compost. This holds water evenly and gives seeds the nutrients they need to germinate 🌾

3️⃣ Space your seeds out across the compost. Good spacing now = easier transplanting later 🌼

4️⃣ Gently roll into a loose tube. Roots need air and room to grow 🌬️

5️⃣ Stand the roll upright in a shallow tray with a little water at the bottom 💧

The newspaper draws moisture up, creating a warm, humid microclimate for sprouting. Once seedlings emerge 🌿 simply unroll and transplant into beds, pots, or your garden.

Taste and create refreshing, vibrant summer drinks using fresh garden herbs.

🍓 Sat 13th June (10:30 - 12:30) | Preserving Workshop
Learn the essential skills to bottle up the harvest, extend the seasons, and reduce food waste.
£15 tickets - includes up to 2 children aged 15 and under.

🍅 Sat 20th June (10:30 - 12:30) | Community Harvest & Cook Workshop
Get hands-on with a simple, healthy cooking session using hyper-local, seasonal produce straight from the soil.

🌿 Sat 27th June (10:30 - 12:30) | Tour & Taste Workshop
Explore our beautiful growing space, learn about regenerative agriculture, and sample what's in season.

Are you handy with tools, love working outdoors, and looking for flexible part-time work in Peterborough? We are looking for a reliable, can-do person to take on our new Grounds Maintenance & Infrastructure Support role.

🌿You’ll be joining a conscious, passionate team based in our beautiful urban haven, where we grow regeneratively and focus on community impact.

🕒 10 hours/week (Guaranteed) at £13 per hour.

🗓️ Schedule: Monday mornings are fixed, but the rest can be flexible (always finished by 4 PM). Perfect for top-up earnings!

🪵 Role: Keeping our city centre hub and offsite projects safe and tidy, plus building garden infrastructure like wooden planters and wormeries.

📈 We offer: Immediate start, massive opportunity for more hours and a higher salary as our projects grow, and no boring sit-down interviews. We want to see what you can do hands-on in our market garden.

About you: You must have solid experience using basic carpentry and garden power tools, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and ideally a driving license to reach our offsite partner projects.
