The Fish Store - Torpoint

Our retail shop will be open again from 9am on Thursday 29th January.

Lots of lovely fresh fish and seafood will be available alongside the fishcakes, prawns, scampi etc, that everyone loves!

Well, the plaice have now spawned their roe or are in the process of, so we won’t be promoting them for 2/3 months as they become emaciated after spawning, and what little flesh they have is of poor quality against the second half of the year.

Seasonal fish is paramount and the Bass have been abundant and in great shape! But, grab them this month as there will be a ban on them in February to let them spawn and help the new stock for next year.

Scallops are also in very good shape at this time of the year, particularly those off the Start Point. So again, grab some while they are at their best. A few samples of what we bought and sold today:
