Bore da my lovelies, another sunny spring day in Eryri and I'm just off to Porthmadog for breakfast at The Port Cafe Deli & Restaurant. If you want to work up an appetite, cross the road and take a stroll across The Cob and back, about a mile each way.

The estuary is a haven for waterfowl and you will see all sorts of native and migratory birds. There's also the Glaslyn Trout (sewin or sea trout), which you can sometimes spot in the shallow clear water as it heads upstream. All of it set against the spectacular backdrop of Yr Wyddfa and its foothills.

Then back to The Port for a well-earned breakfast. It's a great start to the day; this is a photo from August 2022 when I did just that. So calm and peaceful, and such an easy walk from bustling Porthmadog.

My tummy is rumbling now! Enjoy your breakfast - what are you having?

We are excited to be revamping our customer toilet facilities.
Starting Monday 9th March we will be unable to offer men’s toilets for a couple
of days. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will work hard to minimise the disruption.
We can suggest the public convenience on the high street for the next few days.

We appreciate your understanding while we give them a much needed upgrade.
