Tomorrow we’ll be taking to the wonderful Open Farm Sunday, and we can’t wait.
We’ll be bringing along our full range of small-batch, award-winning artisan jams, chutneys, marmalades and sauces, all handmade right here in Somerset.
If you’re planning a visit, make sure you pop by and say hello, have a taste, and stock up on your favourites. There’s so much happening throughout the day too, from meeting the animals and tractor rides to cheese-making demonstrations and plenty of delicious food and drink.
It’s set to be a fantastic family day out, and with the sunshine forecast we think it’s going to be a brilliant one. ☀️🐄🧀

We’ve been busy in the kitchen making something a little different this week — our very own homemade tomato sauce.
Made in small batches using ripe tomatoes, red peppers and a carefully balanced blend of spices, it’s rich, full of flavour and a world away from the overly sweet commercial versions. Packed with real ingredients, it’s one of those sauces you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again.
Perfect with burgers, sausages, chips, and barbecues. It’s equally at home alongside veggie burgers, loaded wedges, roasted vegetables, falafel, halloumi or simply as a dipping sauce for just about anything!
Like everything we make at Go Wild Preserves, it’s made by hand in Somerset with plenty of care and attention to detail.

Finally back in stock our much-loved Chunky Piccalilli 💛
This one is incredibly special to us as it was actually the very first product Go Wild Preserves ever produced, dating all the way back to 2009. Back then Oz spent a long time alongside his dad carefully working on the recipe until they felt it was just right and ready to share.
Fast forward to today and it’s now a Gold Award-winning piccalilli with a Taste of the West award to its name 🏆
We think what really sets our piccalilli apart from many commercial versions is the balance of that beautifully smooth mustard sauce alongside firm, crunchy & properly chunky vegetables — exactly how piccalilli should be.
We absolutely love it piled into a ploughman’s lunch, alongside cheeses and crackers, or served with any type of pie.
We really hope this gives you a little glimpse into the history, care and nostalgia behind one of our oldest and most loved products. So many of you come back for jar after jar and it honestly means the world to us.

We’ve been beavering away in the kitchen today preparing and chopping everything we need for one of our Gold Taste of the West award-winning pickles 🌿✨
Tomorrow it’ll all be transformed into jars of deliciousness, but for now we’re off for a well-earned rest, to cool down and dream of somewhere calm, cool and relaxing 😅
The kitchen may be hot, but it’s always worth it in the end!

We’ve treated ourselves to the very last jar of our Strawberry & Balsamic Jam this afternoon… paired with homemade scones and plenty of cream 🍓✨
Safe to say it didn’t last very long at all!
Now for the very important question… are you a jam first & cream second person… or cream first then jam? 👀
(We won’t judge… much 😅)

Hope you’re all managing to stay cool in this super hot weather ☀️🥵

We’ve had a rare day out of the kitchen today as it’s simply been too hot to be standing over bubbling pans! Instead, we headed over to Wales to visit family for the day, but we’re now back home and trying our best to cool down again.

Mr Squidge has found himself a shady little spot in the garden🐶💛

MWe were up very early this morning, before the sun and heat really kicked in, making a fresh batch of our Seville Orange & Somerset Cider Marmalade ☀️🍊
Packed full of Seville oranges and a good glug of proper Somerset cider, this one’s sure to make marmalade lovers very happy indeed.
The smell of oranges bubbling away in the pan takes us right back to the orange groves of Seville 🍊
There’s something pretty special about standing outside in this beautiful weather while jars are cooling and the kitchen still smells incredible 🍯
We really hope you’re all managing to get outside and enjoy some of this glorious sunshine too 🌿

Whoever decided we should make chilli jam on one of the hottest days of the year definitely needs a serious talking to 🌶️🥵
The kitchen has been absolutely roasting today, but we’ve finally polished off for the day and are now firmly planted in front of the fan trying to cool down 😅
That said… this one really is worth the sweat.
Our sweet chilli jam is one of those proper all-rounders and is ridiculously moreish. Perfect with cheese boards, dolloped into sandwiches, glazed over sausages (we’ve used veggie) and burgers, or alongside a picky tea out in the garden while the sun’s out ☀️
Handmade in small batches as always and packed full of flavour.

It’s the start of the super sunny bank holiday weekend… and what a weekend it’s set to be ☀️
We’ve been as busy as ever in the Go Wild kitchen restocking one of our absolute favourites — our roasted beetroot relish 👀
Slow roasted beetroot, roasted tomatoes, red onion, garlic and a good grating of fresh horseradish all cooked down into something seriously moreish. It’s the kind of thing that was made for warm weather lunches — piled into sandwiches, dolloped onto burgers, tucked alongside a picnic or served with a cheeseboard out in the garden 🍔🧀🥗
It’s also absolutely delicious lightly tossed through salad leaves as an instant dressing situation… especially with a chunk of good bread on the side 😄
It’s one of those products that somehow disappears very quickly once the sun comes out ☀️
