We've got a big problem in this country.
We'll throw money at corporations that pay less tax in a year than your local shop owner pays in a month.
We'll queue for a chain coffee without thinking twice.
We'll click next-day delivery from a platform that's never contributed a penny to the area we live in.
Then we walk past the independent bakery, the local butcher, the coffee shop our neighbour spent years saving to open.
And tell ourselves we'll go in next time.
There isn't always a next time.
And most people only notice that when it's too late.
