Can you help protect this important space for nature and community in St Davids just around the corner from our pick up point at St.Davids Rugby Club? This is am amazing green space that needs your help to protect in for future generations. All the details are in the post below.

📣 Protect Maes Glasfryn 📣 Yesterday we launched a new fundraising appeal to help achieve the next important step in the securing Maes Glasfryn for future generations.

🤝 St Davids City Council have approved in principle an interest in a long-term lease for the site, subject to further investigations into financing and legal matters etc. Why do this?

🛡 Well, it not only protects the space further and reduces the risk of any future change of use, but it also gives the security required for further investment, through grants, to improve the space for the benefit of wildlife and ensure community access for 100 years plus!

💰 But, we need your help please. The legal work alone will cost a significant amount to ensure it is done properly. We hope to secure some small grants from organisations and businesses but have decided to launch a public fundraising appeal to ensure we can cover the legal fees and future improvements. Now is when we really need the support of the local community and friends.

🙏 So, can you help with a donation please? Even a small amount will help and every penny donated will be committed to the Maes Glasfryn project. Please do spread the word with friends and family, or those further away who might understand how important it is to protect local green spaces and boost biodiversity.

OUR WEEKLY ORDER CYCLE IS OPEN

You can order lovely local produce every week from 10 am on a Saturday until noon on a Thursday, ready for collection the following Saturday morning.

We are REALLY proud to be supporting LOCAL food producers by our simple shop online & collection point in St Davids - this includes local VEGETABLES & SALADS, beef, chicken, lamb, pork, bread, honey, beer & cider, honey, eggs, milk, sweet treats and much more, all locally-produced in Pembrokeshire. Plus we have a LARGE range of pantry staples from the brilliant Suma Wholefoods ... basically everything you could want!

The veg and local produce comes from a range of local producers so you know you are directly supporting local families and small community businesses which we believe is SUPERB ... it’s also generally not as expensive as many people believe for locally grown produce, keeping your money in the local economy rather than the large supermarket chains.
