Role & Responsibilities:
- Tamar Valley Meats is looking for a candidate who is confident in serving directly to customers, in which their expectations are managed, orders are fulfilled and their payment transactions are processed.
- One of the main rolls this candidate would be filling is boning out and preparing meat products to a high standard. This standard would need to meet the desired requirements of the shop and its trade.
- This role also provides the opportunity for the candidate to produce a meat product that will be sold to the customers. This will include the making of burgers, kebabs and also the labelling and pricing of pre-packaged items.
- It will be important that the candidate maintains a high standard of food safety and hygiene at all times.
- Though not essential, previous retail, food safety and hygiene experience would be beneficial for the candidate to have. But, training will be provided where necessary.

Tamar Valley Meats is a traditional family butchers which has been trading for 15+ years. We pride ourselves on selling locally sourced meats and benefit from having our own farm near St Dominick, where we hand rear our own South Devon Beef and Lambs. We hang the Beef for 28 days as we believe that is the sweet spot for maximum flavour and tenderness.
