Earlier this week, Daniel joined the Great Taste Awards in London for two days of loose leaf tea judging. ☕🌱

Hosted at the Tata facility (Formerly Tetley Tea), a panel of experienced tea specialists judged nearly 180 green, black, white, oolong, and blended teas from around the world. Each cup was prepared to precise leaf weight, water temperature, and infusion time instructions - Ensuring each sample was judged to its best potential.

Daniel shares that it was an intense but thoroughly enjoyable experience, and that it was great to learn so much from the professionals - Especially in what makes a good cup of tea! We're looking forward to applying the improved tea knowledge to the shop and our own tea range.

Introducing Blue Sky 'Hal-Moo-Mee' - A buttery, golden, halloumi-style cow's milk cheese handmade in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Not as salty, but perfectly squeaky! Great for burgers, summer salads, and veggie curries. £2.50/100g.

With English Wine Week just around the corner (Sat 20th June - Sun 28th June), we've got some great Cheshire wine news to share! 🍷

We're proud to be the first stockist of Goldford Wine's new 'Bacchus 2025' - A medium-sweet wine produced from grapes grown in Goldford's 3-acre vineyard near Bickerton. The 'Bacchus 2025' is much more approachable than a lot of sweet wines (Clean, fresh, but not cloying), with notes of peach, apricot, pineapple juice, hedgerow, and a nettle acidity. Great for local cheeses like Nantwich Blue, or Burt's Blue.

Keep an eye out for our shop tasting of this later in month. We'll also be including a few bottles in our Father's Day Cheese & Wine Gift Sets (More on them this weekend!).
