We’re really excited to share the news that from today, Borthwood is now available across the island in all good delis and Farmshops. The cheese is soft and mould ripened from the outside with traditional penicillium moulds and yeasts. In the middle sits a generous layer of truffle. It’s a flavour combination that we have tweaked for over a year now and we’re really happy with the result. Trial batches were entered in to this years’ British Cheese Awards and the Artisan Cheese Awards where we were awarded three gold medals. Only 100 units are being made at Queenbower each week in time for Christmas. Big shout to Alex Kimber from Heron for floating the idea back in 2022. We’d love to know your thoughts on this 🙂
