Thanks for the lovely reviews! 😃 Visitors often call our secret garden a hidden gem.

Our real secret is… we don’t want it to stay secret.

So when the sun’s out, think deli garden. Pop along for great coffee, amazing cakes made with local ingredients, the BEST cheese, tasty sandwiches made with award-winning ingredients, local cider, Shroton gin and tonic, Dorset apple cake with local ice cream, and plenty more.

And when you spend money here, it stays local, supporting a whole ecosystem of brilliant local businesses, makers and suppliers.

We’re hosting an Irish session at The Shaftesbury Deli on Friday 22nd May, from 6 till 8.

Pop down for a relaxed drink in the sun, with local cider, local gin, cheese boards and charcuterie boards available from the bar upstairs.

All welcome. Come and enjoy some tunes.

Sorry to be announcing another postponement, but Friday is looking rather rainy, so we’re going to have to put off the garden music evening again.

Just a quick update for our lovely Friday evening visitors 🍷 Due to staff holidays, we won’t be doing our usual Friday evening opening this Friday (8th). BUT… we’ll be back open for another evening opening on Friday 15th instead ✨ All normal daytime opening hours remain exactly the same throughout. 🎄 Merry Christmas from all of us at The Shaftesbury Deli.

Thank you to every customer, neighbour and visitor who’s supported us this year — and to our brilliant local producers, makers and growers. We’re proud to stock what they make, and grateful for the care, graft and skill that goes into every product on our shelves.

And as you’re heading home this Christmas Eve, it’s always worth a quiet walk along Park Walk — when the town settles, the lights glow, and you never quite know what you’ll see.
