What a summer!

From championing local cheese and other brilliant regional makers to traditional music in the garden and Dorset dialect poetry, it’s been a lovely few months.

We’re proud that so much of what we do keeps money, skills and creativity circulating locally.

Now we’re looking forward to steaming bowls of soup, autumn leaves in the deli garden, hot chocolate with cinnamon, and a blanket with a good book.

Thank you to everyone who’s shopped with us, visited, played, performed or supported the deli this summer.

Plenty more to come.

A change of the guard at the deli…

Esme is off to university, after helping us survive busy Saturdays, Christmas madness and plenty of evening events. We’re going to miss her loads, but hope she has an absolutely brilliant time.

We’re also saying goodbye to Lorraine, who has been part of the deli since the early days, as she moves on to a new, full-time role. She’s helped keep everything going through plenty of change along the way and will be very much missed.

A huge thank you to them both, and all the very best for what comes next.

What a wonderful evening we had last Friday! The garden was full of people, the music kept growing as more musicians joined in, and there was plenty of cheese going around too. Just how we like it. 🧀🎻

There’s no Friday music in the garden this week (21st) as our musicians are off on their own little road trip to the Not Mells Irish Music Weekend near Frome.

Have a brilliant weekend, mice… sorry, musicians! We’ll be back with more music in the garden soon. 🎶🐭
