๐๐ A Busy Bumble Bee at Work! ๐๐
This beautiful bumble bee was spotted collecting nectar and pollen from a Phacelia flower, often known as one of the best plants for pollinators.
Phacelia is loved by bees because it produces large amounts of nectar over a long flowering period. Its striking purple flowers act like a beacon, attracting bumble bees, honey bees and other beneficial insects from across the area.
Did you know? A single bumble bee can visit hundreds of flowers in a day while collecting food for the colony. As they move from flower to flower, they help pollinate plants, supporting biodiversity and food production.
Planting bee-friendly flowers such as Phacelia, lavender and wildflowers is one of the easiest ways to help our pollinators thrive. ๐ผ
