We were droving on Sunday... that 200 year old practice of walking large herds of livestock—such as cattle, sheep, pigs, and geese—long distances. We love it and so do the car drivers who happen to be at the right place at the right time on the Berwick Road when we do it. The cows were pleased to be foraging on new ground, but boy oh boy do we need some rain.

Waking up to the misty sights and sounds The two cows bellowing mean they can't find their calves at the moment and the Breiddens and Welsh Berwen hills are in the distance. We're very grateful for the sprinkling of rain we've had this week and it's feeling quite damp this morning. Maybe, just maybe, the grass might start to grow again.

We've been putting the american squeeze crush through its paces today whilst TB testing the herd with Shropshire Farm Vets. What an awesome piece of equipment in terms of animal welfare and handling safety. It's potentially a very stressful time for our animals and for us but this state of the art handling kit has completely revolutionised our day. Happy cows, happy us! 🐂🐂

It was an absolute pleasure and honour to host the Summer Soiree with the legendary The Hungry Guy and Paso-Primero earlier this week. Steve worked his culinary magic once again and matched with fabulous wines from Tom's Spanish vineyard we couldn't wish for a more perfect combination. It was awesome and we can't thank them and the dynamic enough for putting their trust in us.
