A few small tweaks and tips that make family meal prep genuinely easier, without turning dinner into a project every night.
Plan ahead by jotting down your meals for the week and shopping to a list.
Batch cook staples like grains and roasted vegetables so they’re ready to build into different meals.
Keep the freezer stocked with chopped basics like onion, garlic and spinach, they save real time on the nights you’re running on empty.
Don’t underestimate leftovers: last night’s roast chicken has no business going to waste when it can become tomorrow’s wrap.
Snacks matter too, opt for things that hold energy longer. A few easy swaps go a long way: energy balls instead of chocolate bars, Greek yoghurt with honey and berries instead of sugary yoghurt, grated cheese in a small pot instead of processed cheese snacks, and fruit with nut butter instead of sweets.
