We are so saddened to hear of the passing of David Hockney (1937–2026), aged 88.

A true Yorkshire icon, he captured the beauty of our East Yorkshire landscape and took it to the world through his wonderfully detailed and vibrantly colourful paintings.

A remarkable legacy that will continue to inspire for generations to come. We were privileged to recently create a Hockney-inspired grazing table for over 100 delegates and guests at the East Yorkshire Rural Food & Tourism Network Spring Conference.

Continuing our lighter two-course options... Tomorrow, 12th June, the menu will feature a classic Scampi and Chips, followed by a Belgian Chocolate & Caramel Tart served with vanilla ice cream. A satisfying combination, with just the right balance of savoury and sweet.

We’re introducing something new for those who prefer a lighter way to dine. Not everyone wants a full main before dessert, so we’ve created a simple two-course option that lets you enjoy both without feeling too full. This will now be a regular feature, with dishes changing daily.

To start things off today and tomorrow, we’re serving a Chicken Caesar Salad followed by a Crème Brûlée Tart. A relaxed, balanced option that still leaves room for something sweet at the end.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Freddie has been nominated for a BBC Radio Humberside Make a Difference Award 2026!

After overcoming his own battle with cancer, Freddie has raised over £50,000 for the Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Trust and Castle Hill Hospital WISHH Charity. His dedication and compassion have inspired so many and made a real difference to young people facing cancer.

Freddie’s journey is a powerful example of resilience, leadership, and kindness. He truly embodies the spirit of this award, and we’re so lucky to have him!
