ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Due to the snowfall and and the icy conditions following Storm Goretti, we regret to inform you that we have made the decision to cancel Cannock Market today, Friday 9th January 2026.

The safety of our staff, traders, and the public remains our top priority, and we believe this is the most responsible course of action given the current conditions.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to resume normal operations soon. Please stay safe and take care in the cold weather.

Back at market on Saturday....weather permitting 🤞🤞

We have taken the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow's market, Wednesday 7th January, due to the current snow and icy conditions. The met office have issued a weather warning for ice from midnight tonight until 10am tomorrow morning. For the safety of all site users we have therefore taken the decision not to open. We intend to reopen as usual on Saturday (10th January). Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Although we are now closed for deliveries we will still be available at Penkridge Markets tomorrow (Xmas eve) until lunchtime (ish!)

We will have limited supplies of eggs, pickles, scratchings etc so get there early if you need any last minute bits & bobs

We have received dreadful news from our supplier of Pork Scratchings.

Their manufacturing unit was completely destroyed by fire last night.
Thankfully no one was hurt.

We are clearly now going to have some supply issues, and possibly may have no scratchings at times in the coming weeks and months.

Our thoughts are with the staff and their families at this terrible time. Wishing them and their business a speedy recovery.
