Further down Swadlincote High Street, you’ll find another wonderful independent florist—Flowers By Love - Swadlincote Florist. This lovely shop was also on my visit list this week. 💐

As soon as you walk through the door, you’re greeted by the beautiful scent of fresh flowers. There is a wide variety to choose from, and the arrangements are absolutely lovely.

We recently had a lady visit the South Derbyshire Visitor Centre who had booked an appointment to discuss her wedding flowers but wasn’t sure where the shop was. We were, of course, happy to point her in the right direction!

If you’re ever unsure where to find a local business, attraction or venue, please pop into the Visitor Centre and ask us. Alternatively, take a wander along the High Street and discover for yourself just how lucky we are in Swadlincote to have so many fantastic independent businesses.

With wonderful wedding venues and talented local florists right here in South Derbyshire, there are plenty of opportunities to shop locally while planning your special day. 🌸💒

Weddings & Flowers R Us
A huge thank you to Claire at Weddings and Flowers R Us for indulging me on a rather dreary Wednesday this week! 💐

I popped into the shop and challenged Claire to create a fresh bouquet in super-quick time, showing what she could do if a customer arrived looking for a beautiful, freshly made bouquet at short notice.

The video has obviously been sped up a little, but Claire really was incredibly quick and proficient. She is a true professional, and it was fascinating to watch her confidently select, arrange and hand-tie the flowers to create a gorgeous bouquet.

Something that particularly caught my attention was that Claire uses locally grown flowers where possible, depending on availability and the season. I was really drawn to this lovely local touch. 🌸

If you’re not sure where to find Claire, Weddings and Flowers R Us is on Midland Road in Swadlincote, opposite the side of the Town Hall. You’ll often spot a lovely selection of flowers displayed outside.

The shop is quietly tucked away down several steep steps, but please don’t let that prevent you from visiting. Claire is more than happy to come up the steps, discuss what you would like and help you choose your flowers before handcrafting your bouquet.

Claire also runs flower-arranging workshops in the Swadlincote area and caters for all your floral needs, including weddings, funerals, celebrations and thoughtful gifts.

We have some truly amazing wedding venues across South Derbyshire, so if you’re planning your special day locally, why not support a talented local florist too? Claire can create beautiful, handcrafted flowers to complement your venue and help bring your wedding vision to life. 💒💐
