TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Delivery of Cakes
PipCAKES will deliver cakes within a 25 mile radius of TW13 postcodes, or further afield upon arrangement. We will give you a quote once your order has been taken and confirmed, your time and date of the wedding or event will be required on the day you confirm your order. Mileage is usually charged at 30p/mile (mileage is calculated on a round trip, to and from the venue) but this is subject to change and will be confirmed during your order. If you chose delivery then we will liaise with you and your chosen venue to confirm all delivery details, however a time will not be given until the day of delivery. Please note that we may be unable to deliver your cake to the venue due to adverse or unforeseen weather conditions that may cause the venue to become inaccessible. We will not be held responsible for any loss under these circumstances. Acceptance of Cake
Upon delivery or during collection of your cake, you will be asked if the cake is acceptable and as you expected. Once this has been confirmed by the customer any outstanding balance will be paid and receipt given for the goods. PipCAKES will not be liable and no compensation issued should the customer believe there are any problems with the cake once it has left the premises. Cakes by post
PipCAKES will package up your cake(s) as best as possible to protect them. PipCAKES does not take any responsibility for cakes sent by post or courier service once the courier has taken ownership of the cakes (i.e. taken the cakes off the premises and put them in the courier vehicle). Should the cakes be damaged during transit, PipCAKES will not be held accountable and no compensation will be given. All cakes should be inspected upon receipt of delivery. Non-edible decorations
All non-edible decorations will be highlighted to the Client on collection or delivery and it will be the responsibility of the Client to convey this to their guests and venue. PipCAKES accepts no responsibility for any physical harm that may occur from the use of non-edible decorations. Cancellations
Confirmation of orders will be recorded and emailed/ posted to you. Should you cancel your order 7 days before the delivery/collection date, you will be charged the full rate for inconvenience. You will not be entitled to take any items from the cancelled order that have been started or completed and you will still be charged for those items. Any deposits or monies already paid will be forfeited. Should you cancel 14 days before the delivery/collection date, you will only lose your deposit. If the cake has been completed when you cancel your order, you will need to pay in full for the order placed and all deposits and monies already paid will be forfeited. Storage of all PipCAKES
All cakes should be stored at room temperature, out of direct sunlight on a flat surface and never in the fridge, unless specifically advised to. No preservatives or additives are used in PipCAKES products therefore it is recommended they are consumed within 2-3 days of the delivery/collection date for the best taste. Products will last up to 2 weeks past their best and can be frozen. Please allow at least 24 hours to defrost. Fruit cakes usually have a longer shelf life if they have had alcohol added to them in the baking process. Terms of Business
PipCAKES shall not be liable for any consequential loss to the customer whether this arises from a breach of contract or any other way. PipCAKES total liability for any claim howsoever arising shall not exceed the price of the goods supplied by PipCAKES to the customer. Please note pictures are for general illustration only and the product may vary from that shown. English law applies to all transactions. The above exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law. None of your statutory rights as a consumer are affected. Privacy Policy
We will use your contact details (your name, telephone and your e-mail and postal addresses) to provide any services requested by you. These details will only be used by us and will not be passed to any other organisations. Copyright
Please note that when we are asked to make a popular or famous character or theme we will not be able to make it exactly the same as the original due to the very strict copyright laws on these characters or themes. We will however work around the character or theme to use it as inspiration only for the cake. We will never totally copy a character or theme exactly for this reason.
