He will absolutely kill me for this 😂 but I couldn’t let today pass without making a fuss!
So if you’re popping into The Gower Deli today, make sure you wish Chef Christos a BIG Happy Birthday 🥳🇬🇷 — if you can catch him outside the Chef Zone, that is! 👨‍🍳😂
He works incredibly hard and puts his heart and soul into this little Deli of ours, so he deserves some birthday love today. ❤️

🇬🇷 A little evening break for Christos this week! 🇬🇷

Just a quick reminder that there will be no evening events at The Gower Deli this week while we give Christos a well-earned chance to rest and recharge after a very busy summer. ❤️

That means:

❌ No Taverna Night tonight
❌ No Mezedopoleio Night this Saturday

The Deli is still open as usual during the day, so you can still pop in for your Greek favourites, coffee, lunch, treats and goodies from the counter and our range of ready meals will be available after 11am tomorrow 🇬🇷☕️🥐

Our evening events will be back next week — and Christos will be back in the kitchen refreshed and ready to go! 🙌

Thank you, as always, for keeping us so busy and for all your continued support.

🍂 A LITTLE AUTUMN PAUSE AT THE GOWER DELI 🍂
Just a little reminder that The Gower Deli is CLOSED TODAY (Tuesday) as we give our lovely team a very well-earned break after an incredibly busy summer. ❤️
We’ll be back open from 9am tomorrow, with our hours this week as follows:
Wednesday – Saturday | 9am–5pm
Sunday | 9am–3pm
🍽️ Menu served until 2pm
☕ Coffee until 4pm
🧀 Deli counter open all day
There will be no Taverna or Mezedopoleio evenings this week, giving everyone a chance to recharge before we head into autumn.
But don’t worry about your weekend food! 😋 Christos will be preparing our ready meals as usual, and the fridges will be stocked from Friday morning with plenty of delicious dishes to pick up and enjoy at home over the weekend.
And then… Christos will be back in full swing next week, with a few little changes at the Deli as we get ready for autumn. 🍂👀

A LITTLE SUNDAY UPDATE — EARLY CLOSE & DISCOUNTS TODAY

We’re closing a little earlier than usual today, and then the Deli will be closed on Monday and Tuesday to give our lovely team a well-earned break after a very busy summer.
Before we do, we’ve got lots of discounted goodies available today, including ready meals, pies, quiches, pastries, desserts and more. 🥘🥧🍰
So if you fancy stocking up the fridge or freezer, pop in today and grab a bargain while they last!

🎂🎉 THE GOWER DELI IS 2 TODAY!! 🎉🎂

Two years ago today, we opened the doors to The Gower Deli for the very first time… and what a two years it’s been! 🇬🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💙

There have been Greek feasts, street-food nights, markets, new products, awards, celebrations, challenges, LOTS of cooking… and, most importantly, so many wonderful people who have supported us along the way. 🥰

To every person who has popped in for a coffee, bought something from the deli, enjoyed Christos’ food, joined us for one of our events, recommended us to a friend, shared a post or simply cheered us on — THANK YOU. 💙

For a little independent business, that support means more than you probably realise, and we’re incredibly proud to be celebrating our second birthday here in Southgate.

And of course, you can’t have a birthday without presents… 🎁👀
