A little bit of very good news from the farm 🎉

Four Helen Browning’s favourites have been recognised at the Great Taste Awards 2026, collecting five stars between them:

⭐ Organic Corned Beef
⭐ Organic Speedy Sausages
⭐ Organic Pork Mince
⭐⭐ Organic Smoked Back Bacon, made without nitrates or nitrites

We already thought they were rather good, of course, but it is lovely to have the flavour and care behind them independently recognised.

You can find all four award winners in the shop now.

Good farming is about much more than producing food.

It is about giving animals a good life, caring for the soil, making space for wildlife and working with nature rather than against it.

That thinking sits at the heart of everything we do at Eastbrook.

Live for today. Farm for tomorrow. đŸŒ±

We’ve had a tidy up online.

Same farm. Same food. Fresh new website.

The new Helen Browning’s Organic site is designed to make shopping a little easier, clearer and quicker.

Sausages, bacon, fresh cuts, freezer favourites, pantry bits, spirits and all the useful things for real kitchens.

Have a nose around

Here at Eastbrook, we’re experimenting with trees and crops that might thrive as our climate changes.

Walnuts, apricots, cherries, pears and damsons may not be what you expect to find growing on a Wiltshire farm, but we need to think about what the land could look like in 10 or 15 years’ time.

Not every experiment will work. But by planting now, learning as we go and bringing more diversity to the farm, we can begin preparing for the future.

Cosy hash for any time of day.

Crispy potatoes, Helen’s organic corned beef, a little smoky bacon and a golden egg on top. Simple, hearty, and just the sort of thing we want bubbling away in the pan at the weekend.

Save this one for brunch, supper, or those “what can I make with a jar of corned beef?” moments.

Healthy food starts with healthy soil đŸŒ±

One of the most important parts of organic farming is what happens beneath our feet.

Soil rich in organic matter stores carbon, holds onto water and nutrients, and reduces the need for fertilisers. It is a vital part of growing food while caring for the land around us.

Here, Helen takes a closer look at the dark, peaty soil on the farm and explains why it is something we cannot afford to lose.

Look after the soil, and it looks after everything else.

You may know us for sausages.

Or bacon. Or a nice bit of pork.

But now there’s something new from Real Organic by Helen Browning’s.

Organic Thai curry sauces, made for the nights when dinner needs to happen without much discussion.

Green for coconut, lemongrass, lime and chilli. Red for warming spice, red chilli, galangal and coriander.

Add chicken, pork, vegetables, tofu, beans or chickpeas. Rice on. Sauce in. Dinner done.

Handy jars. Good ingredients. Very little washing up.

You may have seen Helen’s piece in today’s

In it, Helen shares the story of Joey, a sickly calf who came into her life during a time of deep grief, and the unexpected part he played in helping her through it.

You can read more about Joey, and the people and animals who shaped Helen’s life, in her book The Boys’ Team.

Pickles are trending right now, which can only mean one thing.

It’s Reuben sandwich time.

Our organic corned beef, a good sharp pickle, melted cheese, sauerkraut, mustard, rye bread, and a hot pan. Rich, tangy, crunchy, toasted. Very much a lunch that is worth stopping for.

The corned beef brings the savory bit. The pickle cuts through with just enough bite. The rest is mostly trying not to eat it standing at the kitchen counter.

Trend or no trend, that’s a sandwich we can get behind.
