WELLINGTON MARKET PLANS GATHER PACE! 🛍️ 📢 🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏻

We’re pleased to announce that plans to transform Wellington Market have moved a step closer following the latest consultation session with traders this week.🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏻 🧑🏻‍🤝‍🧑🏻

After one-to-one meetings with individual business owners, their feedback has helped to shape plans which are now being finalised before being submitted.👥

Planning permission is only required for certain elements of the market including changes to the structure of the building itself and not for the new individual stalls inside the building.

The Council has successfully secured significant government funding to invest into the market and is seizing this one-off opportunity to transform it into a fit-for-the-future venue which will continue to serve the needs of generations to come, safeguarding its future for the next 50 years.
