Meet the hands behind the mugs 🤎

Kate has been back at the wheel in her pottery studio, shaping a new batch of cappuccino mugs for Kiln, each one thrown, handled, glazed and fired entirely by hand here in Topsham.

There’s something rather special about drinking your morning coffee from a mug that has been made slowly, locally and with so much care.

This one is still at the beginning of its journey. We can’t wait to show you how it looks after its final firing ☕️✨

We made an app! 🔥

Meet Kilnside, your pottery studio, in your pocket.

We created it after seeing just how much there is to keep track of when making pottery: projects, clay bodies, glaze combinations, firing schedules, results and all those little notes you’re convinced you’ll remember later!

Kilnside brings it all together in one simple place. You can follow each project from the first idea to the finished piece, record kiln firings, organise glazes and materials, and use the AI studio assistant for inspiration and help with those inevitable pottery mishaps.

We’ve designed, developed and published it ourselves, somehow fitting it in alongside opening Kiln and becoming parents. Seeing it live on the App Store feels more than a little surreal!

Kilnside is available to download for free from the Apple App Store now.

This is just the beginning, and your feedback will help us make it even better. If you try it, please tell us what you love, what could be improved and what you’d like us to add next 🤎

Our Moroccan falafel sandwich is packed with red pepper houmous, fresh tomato, crisp lettuce, pickled red onion, coriander and spiced mango chutney, all completely vegan and absolutely full of flavour.
