🧄 Elephant garlic. And yes, it’s really that big!
These remarkable bulbs were grown in Yealmpton by local grower Doug Palmer, who started growing during Covid and has been supplying us with produce from his garden ever since.
From heritage tomatoes and grapes to berries and leafy greens, we’re always excited to see what arrives from Doug’s garden. This might be his biggest offering yet.
With huge, easy-to-peel cloves and a milder, sweeter flavour than traditional garlic, elephant garlic is particularly good roasted whole, where it becomes soft, rich and almost buttery.
