A Fond Farewell from The Dunsley Farm Shop and Cafe 🌾
It is with a heavy heart that we announce we will be shutting the doors at The Dunsley Farm Shop and Cafe. Over the past three years, we’ve experienced an incredible journey filled with kindness, love and spirit. The warmth of our community has embraced us, supporting us every step of the way.
We’ve made fantastic friends and have been privileged to use the shop to help train our students, providing them with invaluable real-life work experience. From laughter to tears, we’ve welcomed both old and new customers, and sadly said goodbye to some dear ones along the way.
As a family, we’ve all chipped in, working seven days a week to serve our beloved community. From Alfred learning to serve customers at just 8 years old, to 79 year old Nanny baking cakes and being our Sunday pot wash, the late evenings serving hundreds of pies for Tring Brewery, going viral on TikTok, catching loose cows, early morning market runs, to watching Connor rush out the door as a newly graduated firefighter to save lives—every moment has been cherished.
This decision has not come easily, but with continued rising expenses and the cost of living impacting sales, and the huge growth of our college business, we had to make this tough call.
But, don’t worry we will be continuing to deliver vital work skills to our students and will be setting something up nearer to our centre in Aylesbury where you’ll still be able to support our students, and buy Nannie’s cakes! We will continue to trade until the end of July as normal, albeit with limited stock and will close the doors on Friday 31st July for the last time 😢
Alfred will continue to sell his own free range chicken and duck eggs from our smallholding in Wigginton, more information will follow 🥚
The shop will be handed over to fresh hands, and we are excited for its future. If you may be interested, do drop us a DM or pop in over this week.
And finally, we all wish to thank each and every one of you for your love and support, without you this part of our journey wouldn’t be possible and we will miss you all 🥰
