Stonelands is now coffee-chaff-lands!! 😂
Thanks very much to Island Roasted Coffee for supplying so much coffee chaff!
The first picture shows a bed prior to weeding. The rest of the photos show the rest of the process; weeding and hoeing, clearing the weeds, spreading the coffee chaff, and netting if necessary. The final picture (Thanks to Boaz) is a photograph taken from a drone, showing sixteen of our veg growing beds covered in chaff!
We use coffee chaff because it adds nitrogen to the soil, supresses weeds, and the slugs and snails do not like it!
