THE ALLUMS HERITAGE!

The business was started in 1945 by Albert Allum in Wakefield Market and has been in the family for three generations.

The meat was rationed to Albert and he was the first to sell heifers (female cattle). He went for quality, not quantity. If he had sold bulls (male cattle) it would have enabled him to sell more meat. The concept of quality, not quantity was born.

The business is run from our two modern shop premises, ensuring fresh produce for our online butchers. Product quality is of the utmost importance and to achieve this we engage in solid working practices and solid relationships with our suppliers who produce the type of meat we demand.

Consistent standards are important in the sourcing and manufacturing of meat as this helps achieve customer satisfaction. All carcasses are hand prepared on the premises by our knowledgeable skilled staff on ensuring the product is of the very quality and taste.
