After a lot of thought and soul-searching, I’ve made the difficult decision not to continue with Faulkner’s Fruit & Veg in the same way.

This certainly wasn’t an easy choice. Unfortunately, my main supplier is closing down, there’s very few locally grown options that are sustainable cost wise and when I really looked at everything involved, the time, rising costs and financial commitment needed to keep the business going the way that it is just aren’t something I can make work right now alongside my full-time job.

I started Faulkner’s because I genuinely wanted to provide fresh, quality produce to the local community and support local suppliers wherever possible. I’ve met some wonderful customers along the way, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who placed an order, shared a post, recommended us to friends, or simply encouraged me. Your support has meant far more than you probably realise.

We will still be at the Ettington Summer Fayre and the next Kineton Farmers Market so come along and pop in for a chat 💚

☀️ Although this chapter is coming to an end the story isn’t over yet. We are putting things in place to be able to bring you homegrown, organic and sustainable food. It’s just going to take some time to get to where I want to be! ☀️

Also I wanted to mention the recent news about the cyclospora bacteria outbreaks.

It is found in salad leaves, soft berries (such as raspberries & blackberries) herbs such as parsley & basil and veg such as spring onions and peas.

It is not an issue in the UK & on our locally grown and produced fruit & veg.

All the more reason to shop local, shop British & support small businesses 💚🇬🇧

For this reason, among many, we will no longer be supplying imported food.

The cut off for pre orders this week will be a little earlier - 5pm on Friday - as I’m away from Saturday! 🌞💃 a welcome break after the 2am starts 💕

The Wednesday preorders that wanted them earlier will receive their boxes Saturday morning too and we’ll be CLOSED next Saturday 25th - subscriptions have been skipped for next week so you shouldn’t need to do anything and no payment will be taken.

🌿 A little update to the website! 🌿

I’ve decided to simplify things a little and have reduced the website to just Fruit Boxes and Mixed Boxes (fruit, salad & vegetables). You can also still order honey, eggs and loaves from our lovely local suppliers too.

The reason? My set boxes were becoming a bit samey because I was having to order the same produce week after week to make sure every box was identical.

By simplifying the range, I’ll now have much more freedom to buy the very best seasonal produce each week, as well as pick up different lines and special offers when they’re available. 🍓🥕🍒🥬 if there is something specific that you need then message me on here.

Once the week’s deliveries have gone out, I’ll post on Facebook with everything that’s available for anyone wanting to order individual items or add extras.

I think this will mean a fresher, more varied selection throughout the year while still offering great value in the boxes.
