Meet Mishka, whose name means little bear 🐻 and honestly, could she be any more adorable? 🥰

Mishka’s brother is called Bear, and of course we have our own Bear too, so it’s safe to say we have a very soft spot for German Shepherds here at Stefs ❤️

Mishka and her lovely family have supported us right from the very beginning of our Northern Ireland journey, when we opened our Mallusk store on 1st November. Where has that time gone? It feels like yesterday, yet we’ve already built such an amazing community.

One of my favourite things about opening in NI has been meeting so many wonderful people and their pets. Whether I see you every week, every other week, or once a month, you’ve all become such a big part of what I do, and I genuinely look forward to seeing you walk through the door. I miss my Bingley customers, but you literally couldn’t be in better hands walking into store with my amazing team 🥰

Now, if you look very closely at that trolley, you might spot a few sneaky products that haven’t officially been announced yet… 👀🤫

Not only did Cooper take home the title of Best Boy, but he also left with some delicious new raw meals to try and a selection of tasty treats all from . We reckon that’s a double win if ever we’ve seen one! 😍

If anyone ever questions why you choose raw feeding, I think these pictures speak for themselves. ❤️

Just look at the difference.

These rescue puppies arrived with dull coats, dry skin and that rough, scruffy appearance we so often see when a body is struggling to get everything it needs. Fast forward just 6 weeks of species-appropriate nutrition and the transformation is incredible. Their coats are darker, glossier, softer and absolutely shining in the sunlight.

A dog’s skin and coat are often a reflection of what’s happening internally. In fact, the coat is usually one of the last places you’ll see signs of improvement, because the body prioritises vital organs first. So when you start seeing healthier skin, less dandruff, improved pigmentation and that unmistakable shine, it’s a good indication that positive changes are happening from the inside out.

Of course, a shiny coat alone doesn’t tell the whole story, but nutrition plays a huge role in:
🐾 Skin health
🐾 Coat quality
🐾 Growth and development
🐾 Digestive health
🐾 Immune function
🐾 Muscle condition
🐾 Overall wellbeing

That’s why when a dog has a dull coat, excessive shedding, flaky skin or looks generally lacking in condition, we don’t just reach for a shampoo or coat supplement. We ask why. What’s the root cause? What is the body trying to tell us?

These little rescue pups are proof that when you provide fresh, nutritious food and give the body what it needs, amazing things can happen.

I’m debating changing the opening hours of both shops so they match a little better.

Potential new hours for Bingley would be:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 9am–5pm
Thursday: 9am–7pm
Saturday: 9am–4pm

Mallusk would remain closed Monday & Tuesday for now (although I really hope this changes in the future 🤞🏼), but would open:
Wednesday–Friday: 9am–5pm
Thursday: 9am–7pm
Saturday: 9am–4pm

We’re trying to stay as flexible as possible and keep monitoring shopping habits. From what we can see so far, this could actually be a really helpful move for many customers — especially having the later night and slightly longer Saturday hours.

But of course, our shops are built around YOU, and we want to make sure we’re offering the services and opening times you actually need.

So if you shop in either store, I’d genuinely love your feedback:
• Do you mainly shop during the day anyway?
• Would earlier openings help?
• Would later evening in Bingley or longer Saturdays make things easier for you in Mallusk?

Good morning you lovely lot ☀️

I’m pleased to say I’m looking for a Delivery Driver x Cross Assistant for our Mallusk branch 🐾

As we’ve got busier, I’m looking to add a second delivery day each week from Mallusk (once we’ve got the right person in place 🙌🏻).

We mainly work with frozen raw pet food, delivering delicious dinners to pets all across Northern Ireland each week. Your role would include picking orders for all our favourite customers from our freezers (both chest freezers and walk-ins), helping with deliveries and getting stuck in wherever needed.

Shop duties would also include:
• Stock counts
• Refilling stock
• Cleaning
• General shop duties

I’m looking for someone bubbly, reliable and happy to muck in as part of a small team, it’ll just be me and you working from the Mallusk branch most days 💪🏻

A rough example of working days would be:
• Monday
• Tuesday
• Friday
• 2 in every 4 Saturdays

As we continue to grow, there’s definitely potential for more days in the future too ✨
