World Oceans Day 2026 🌊
The theme is Strong Marine Protected Areas for Our Blue Planet 🌍
World leaders have committed to protecting 30% of the ocean by 2030. The goal is turning that commitment into real conservation outcomes, through properly regulated Marine Protected Areas that help rebuild fish populations and protect vital habitats.
It matters to us directly. We fish within some of the most protected coastal waters in the UK. The day boats we work with use lines, pots, and small nets, low-impact methods that work with the sea, not against it. Properly managed MPAs help rebuild fish populations and protect the habitats that make sustainable fishing possible in the first place.
That's what keeps our counter stocked with fish worth eating.
