The Friday Meat Report - this just in...
Well, it's going to be hot apparently so I have majored in the old barbecue fodder this weekend.

We have several large BBQ packs - containing sausages, 2 plain steaks, two marinaded steaks and some sticky chicken drumsticks
Lamb kofta kebabs
Also:
Chicken drumsticks in a BBQ glaze
Chicken wings in garlic butter.
Pork ribs in BBQ glaze
Beef sirloin steaks
Thick pork chops
Unsmoked back bacon
A large bone-in shoulder of lamb
PLUS
some Lubborn Somerset brie and smoked Dorset Red cheddar.

We have also got some gorgeous Dorset charcuterie, courtesy of local venture, Capreolus. Having just road tested it I can confirm it is absolutely delicious. We have some pepperoni and also a pack of mixed meats.

Bone-in lamb shoulder (smaller than the monster I ordered first time round, which, btw, was melt-in-the-mouth delicious)
Aberdeen Angus beefburgers
Some fine back bacon

Pork and leek sausages
Sirloin steak
Pork chops
Sliced ham
Aberdeen Angus beef chunks
Open Air Dairy cheddar cheese from Little Bredy.

News from your village shop! (vegetarians look away now...)
Following the closure of our village farm shop we decided that now was the time to upgrade our meat section and give more choice
to our customers. Jurassic Coast Fine Foods got in touch and we are very happy to begin supplying a selection of their excellent local meat and other products. From Friday 8th May we will have beef joints, pork, lamb, sausages and all manner of fine produce available. We will continue to have some of our Spar affordable essentials like chicken, mince and steak but you will also have the opportunity to buy the very high quality Jurassic products too.
If you would like to order cuts of meat we will be able to do that too. 🐄🐑🐖

Hurry! very last orders for Christmas trees! You can still order a tree if you get a form in before Wednesday 26th - forms available from the shop and you can pay there too.
Oh and while I'm here, we have some sweet little wooden stars for hanging on trees, in aid of the village hall. They are plain so you can decorate them if you wish - come and buy a Christmas dec and contribute to the village hall at the same time! Fa la la la la la la la laaaah!
