Growing up in Wark (North Tyne Valley) the Village butchers was 'H Waltons' (they had the shop in Wark and a one in Bellingham) the 2 butchers in the Wark shop were Stuart Mathews and Alan Bowman and everyone knew their names and they could rattle off must customers weekly orders from memory. I would of course get to know them very well as I became the Saturday lad in the shop and worked with Alan especially as a butcher between the 2 shops, he was even at my wedding. I like to think we have that same Village shop feel in our place, we love getting to know you as customers and hope you feel like you know us!
