Plum Pudding Pigs

Plum Pudding Pigs Plum Pudding Pigs – the short history! Plum Pudding Pigs was set up by us, Lizzie and Dee, in March 2011. The pigs’ welfare is our top priority.

We are dedicated to the rearing and conservation of the rare breed pig, the Oxford Sandy and Black , also known as the Plum Pudding Pig. Our pigs live very happily, free-range in a paddock on our farm. We value the meat we eat and want to ensure they have as good a life as we can provide. For us, it is not just about producing good meat – it is about appreciating what we eat and respecting the ani

mal from pasture to table. Everything about our pigs is local, and we are lucky to be near to one of the most humane abattoirs in the country. We can guarantee minimal food miles with our pork. The Plum Pudding Pig has a very friendly temperament and most importantly, has the reputation for producing beautifully tasty, succulent and well marbled pork with great crackling!!! Early comments from tastings have likened the flavour to bygone years when “pork tasted like pork!”

We would love to hear from you with any queries you may have about our pigs, questions about cuts of meat, recipes, or general enquiries.
