My love and inspiration for chilli were deeply influenced by my late grandfather. As a young girl, I would watch my grandmother and mother prepare fried green chillies especially for my grandfather's favourite meals like red beans on a Saturday. His love for spicy food and the kick he got from those chillies left a lasting impression on me. He was famous on the golf course for carrying fresh green chillies in his pocket, ensuring he could add them to his cheese, tamato, and onion sandwich at the halfway house. Even today, my mother and I carry a small container of my chilli whenever we travel, knowing it completes our meals. Reflecting on these fond memories, I'm filled with pride at how my grandfather's influence inspired me to start my own chilli business.
