We’ve recently moved all our lamb supplies over to who are just a stones throw away from our Melton store.

Why? Because they are doing things properly. Their sheep graze on unmolested land by the river Deben on a regenerative farm.

The care and attention that goes in to rearing these incredible animals is visible as soon as you spend even a moment speaking to Alice and her top shepherd, Steve.

We’re so lucky to have people like this right on our doorstep and we’re so proud to be able to provide our customers with something so wonderful and incredibly local!

Internal updates at Darsham. Yes it looks worse than when we started, yes it’s going backwards, yes it’s terrifying but we’re still super excited! You’ve got to break a few eggs to make an omelette!

Scaffolding is up, painters are in and we’re on the hunt for green fingered people.

Meat, glorious meat!

We won’t have a full butchery in this store but we will have all of the incredible meats you’re used to from our other store. The only difference is they’ll be pre packed for speedy shopping.

You’ll still be able to order large cuts for the weekend and all the goodies for Christmas and Easter.

Our team of highly skilled butchers will prep it all and send it up.

Maybe you’ll see them with cool boxes on the train!

A closer look at what will be coming soon.

Alongside the famous sausage rolls, local meats and cheese we have a carefully curated selection of deli products and delicious wines.

This big space in the centre of our shop will play host to a much larger range of products than we can currently fit in at Melton.

We cannot wait to get this place full of yummy treats!

***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**

For the first time since opening we are adjusting our opening times. From this week we will be opening at 8 and closing at 2.

We have a lot of customer who want to get their shopping out of the way early so we’re shifting the day forward an hour. It also gives us time at the end of our day to stock up, clean and get home to our babies!

Please spread the word - we know people don’t like change so we appreciate your support on this 🫶🏼

The parking battles at our Melton store are never ending. We share an entrance with the station and on a busy day we see hundreds of vehicles come through.

With that in mind, finding a new location with plenty of parking space was essential.

This waste land area next to the shop offers us a big area to create parking spaces in.

The two rotten trees will come down to make it safe and then we’ll clear the shrub, lay some permeable stone to allow the water through and once it’s done we’ll plant some new trees behind it so we don’t have Joni Mitchell ringing in our ears for the rest of time!

Follow along as we totally transform this old pub in to our new Reuben’s Store at Darsham Station. We’re on a very tight budget and a very short window to get this open. We’ll be documenting the whole journey as we go. 🕺🏼
