Today marks six years of Ekow Sam Farms.
On 12 March 2020, at a time when COVID-19 had just reached Ghana and uncertainty was everywhere, the journey that would later become Ekow Sam Farms began with 250 birds.
The early days were deeply hands-on — learning through trial and error, navigating mortality, repairing facilities, and building systems step by step.
Six years later, that small beginning has grown into a farm operating across two key facilities:
• An old site with a laying capacity of about 5,000 birds
• A brooder facility that hosted about 17,000 birds in 2025, supporting over 120 smallholder and beginner farmers who have trained with us and are now building their own poultry enterprises.
Over the years, the vision has expanded beyond egg production to include chick brooding, farmer training and apprenticeship programs, and consulting for new and growing poultry farms.
This milestone would not have been possible without the trust and support of our customers, partners, suppliers, and the many people who continue to support and advocate for our work.
We are also deeply grateful to the families, mentors, and team members whose belief and dedication continue to sustain this journey.
Six years later, we remain committed to building strong systems, maintaining quality, and growing responsibly.
And while today marks an important milestone, it also feels like the closing of the first chapter.
Because a new beginning for Ekow Sam Farms is very near.
