Potash is added to beans to make it soften on time, to Abacha( a delicacy eaten in the south east) and a host of other meals. Most people don't like using POTASH because of its possible health implications but don't know of other alternatives and are forced to use it.

Am sorry for posting about this again. But ever since I heard about the story of the nurse and her 3 kids burnt to death, I have not been ok. This should not just slide.

This is the second time I have heard of this. The first time it was around Kumasi. I was there when they brought a mum and three kids burnt together.

We cant always wait for disaster to happen before we take action

As a mum and also a health worker am pleading with the GHANA FIRE SERVICE to intensify education on fire safety

Building plans should take into consideration policies that help reduce casualties when there is fire

More training on what to do when there is fire 🔥

We can’t wait for another family to become victims

let’s create awareness. This type of death is too painful and unacceptable….
