🚨 Breaking News 🚨

Fire has completely gutted a single-room apartment at Kpongunor Memlesi in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality this afternoon.

Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service responded swiftly to the scene but upon arrival, the fire was already under control due to the collective efforts of residents in the area. The officers commended community members for their bravery and cooperation in helping to contain the fire before their arrival while also educating residents on basic fire safety and firefighting measures.

Officials from the National Disaster Management Organisation have since taken over the situation for further assessment and to plan possible support and assistance for affected persons.

Fortunately, no casualties have been officially reported at this time.

The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly organised a stakeholders engagement on HIV/AIDS, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders to discuss strategies aimed at safeguarding the community against the HIV/AIDS crisis and its related concerns.

Mr. Samuel Affadu, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Coordinating Director, in his opening remarks, entreated all stakeholders gathered to give off their best in protecting the community regarding issues of HIV/AIDS and related matters.

Addressing the gathering, Margaret Kodi, the Assembly’s HIV/AIDS Focal Person, appealed to stakeholders to become strong ambassadors in the fight against HIV/AIDS, stressing that public education and advocacy remain one of the surest ways to combat the crisis.

🚨 Breaking News 🚨

A very disturbing incident has been reported from the Senchi Market area in the Asuogyaman District, where a tipper truck with registration number GR 2135-22 has reportedly capsized around the market area. Two fatalities have so far been confirmed by joint Police and Fire Service rescue teams.

Motorists and road users are hereby advised to exercise extra caution when approaching the area in order to protect lives and property, and to allow emergency teams enough space to carry out their operations effectively.

We extend our thoughts and prayers to all victims and affected families during this difficult moment.

The Muslim community in Agormanya on Wednesday, May 27th, gathered at the Matse Israel School Park, Aklomuase for the Eid prayers in an atmosphere of peace, unity, and thanksgiving.

The congregation was joined by police officers from the Krobo Divisional Police Headquarters led by the Divisional Commander, ACP Samuel Ntosoh, who used the occasion to officially introduce himself to the Muslim community. He also extended warm Eid wishes and encouraged the community to continue living in peaceful coexistence, emphasizing that peace and unity remain the foundation for development and progress within every society.

Put a frog into a vessel fill with water and start heating the water. As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjust its body temperature accordingly.

The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore. At this point the frog decides to jump out. The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature. Very soon the frog dies.

What killed the frog?
Think about it!
I know many of us will say the boiling water. But the truth about what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when to jump out.

We all need to adjust with people & situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust & when we need to move on. There are times when we need to face the situation and take appropriate actions.

If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally they will continue to do so.
Let us decide when to jump!
Let's jump while we still have the strength.

We joined the Muslim community in Somanya, the Yilo Krobo Municipal Capital, today after the Eid prayers. The Yilo Krobo Municipal Chief Iman and some senior leaders of the Muslim community in the Yilo Krobo Municipality warmly welcomed us as we joined them for the performance of their Eid sacrifices (Qurbani).

May Ya Allah accept our sacrifices and prayers, and bless us all abundantly in the days and years ahead.
