Our Management made a visit to four schools under the Islamic Education Unit in the Sekondi-Takoradi and Effia-Kwesimintsim metropolitan areas.
The schools are Chief Ibrahim Primary (Sekondi), Collins Avenue Primary (Takoradi), Ilmun Nafie [B] (Whindo) and Al-Azhariya Primary Schools of Effiakuma.
The purpose for the visit was to identify needy pupils in those schools and provide them with school uniforms. We also took the opportunity to acquaint ourselves with the challenges bedevilling the schools for further support.
Measurements were taken of about 126 such pupils between the ages of 4 and 15.
Heads of the various schools showed their appreciation to the kind gesture from this foundation and went ahead to request for more support for the needy children.
They also made passionate appeals to the larger Islamic populace to come to the aid of the scjools with books, pens and pencils as well as other essentials that cam help in better teaching and learning experience for rhe schools.
The chairman of the group, Capt.(Rtd.) Husain Sambo assured the heads of Institutions on the Foundation's aims of helping to alleviate poverty in the Zango communities. "In shaa Allah, we shall extend your requests to our directors, I believe they'll come to your aid, bi-iznillah". He assured them.
Meanwhile, Hadinkai Zango Foundation will be presenting the items to the beneficiary institutions in February.
