Wine lovers have known it for decades. The rest of the world is only just waking up.

Terroir, the idea that where something grows shapes everything about how it tastes, transformed wine in the 1970s. People stopped buying "just wine" and started asking: which region? Which grape? Which producer?

The same revolution is happening in extra virgin olive oil right now.

And Greece, with its dozens of varieties, its ancient groves, its extraordinary range of climates and soils, is at the heart of it.
