1) The market is an official Galway county council market
2) Athenry Market Square has x4 pitches, all of different sizes & prices
3) The Market operates on Thursdays & Fridays, with separate licences for each trading day.
4) One can buy a ‘special event licence’ to trade for a day, but only if there are pitches available
5) One must have insurance etc. indemnifying the local Authority to get a licence to trade.
6) Corporate services are the department responsible for issuing licences
7) The market licences are issued from April 1st to March 31st of the following year
8) A trader is expected to trade in this pitch, every week, with the exception of when they take their holidays.
9) One cannot rent a pitch & not trade on it
