See you tomorrow morning! 9:30-12:15 Moat Theatre Naas

Did you know! 👀👀 - the first ever market that I joined was the lovely in the Moat Theatre, Naas, which is on every Friday 9.30am-12.15pm!

I've been attending this market every week since July last year, bringing very limited amounts of only a small selection of (strictly!) my own production stock. The best part....? I have them at discounted prices 😍😍

The other even better best part....? The market is filled with delicious baked good, savoury bites, fresh eggs, veg, jams and chutneys, crafty bits and pieces, and B-E-A-UTIFUL fresh cut flower arrangements - all produced locally, by local people from their local homes!

It really is a fantastic market, with no individual stalls and therefore no competition. Everyone is there to contribute and support each other, while providing the people of Naas and surrounds with only the finest produce at very reasonable prices!

Definitely worth a visit - and be sure to get there early so you dont miss out!

The delicate seed heads of Briza media 'Tinkerbell' shown in the image - and yes, this will be there with me tomorrow! 😍 see you all in the morning !

This should worry you.

One of Ireland’s biggest carrot farms just collapsed.

12% of the country’s carrots — gone.

Let that sink in.

Not because people stopped eating carrots.
Not because farmers don’t care.

But because:
– prices are too low
– costs are too high
– and the system is broken

Meanwhile…

Ireland imports around 80% of its vegetables.

A farming country…
that can’t feed itself.

And still — in supermarkets:
cheap carrots
cheap veg
cheap everything

But “cheap” is a lie.

Because someone always pays the real price.

👉 the farmer

And when farmers are gone —
there is no one left to grow your food.

So next time you choose what to buy, ask yourself:

Are you feeding yourself…
or supporting a system that’s slowly destroying local farming?
We know what we choose 🌱
